Introduction to WingFoil
Course Details
Spend three exciting hours on the water in beautiful Howe Sound with one of our experienced instructors. This introductory wingfoil lesson is designed to give you a full taste of what wingfoiling is all about—from handling the wing to getting up and riding the board.
No prior experience needed—just bring your sense of adventure!
It’s the perfect way to get started with this thrilling new watersport and enjoy a fun, active day out on the water.
Conditions of the OPEN CLASS group course:
– Group Lessons run May 15th to September 15th yearly only.
- – Open Classes require 4 participants in order to run.
– Participants must be from 18 to 60 years of Age.
– Participants must be from 100 lbs to 260 lbs. - – 1-week cancellation policy is in affect for all Open Classes.
This course follows a set curriculum based on a first experience introduction.
Private Wingfoil Lessons
Structured wing foil instruction by the most experienced guides of the area with comfortable boat support and full amenities. Designed for faster learning and consistent improvement.

Semi-Private Wingfoil Lessons

Kids Private Wing Foil Lessons
Course Details

Encouraging the next generation to get into wing foiling is what we are all about. We are happy to offer a discounted hourly rate for all kids 8–14 years old.
These lessons can be done 1 on 1 or with a friend and include all necessary cold water and wing foiling gear. Lessons can be scheduled in 2–3 hour sessions and are run by our highly experienced instructor team.
No restrictions apply, and 1 parent can join on the boat as a spectator free of charge. Parents must stay on the boat for the entire lesson and will not be able to participate during the kids lessons.
Kids Semi-Private Wing Lessons
Course Details
A special price for special people.
Encouraging the next generation to get into wing foiling is what we are all about. We are happy to offer discounted semi private lessons for kids 8–14 years old.
Train together, progress together, and share the experience on the water. These lessons are designed for two participants learning side by side with personalized coaching adapted to each rider’s level and pace.
Lessons include all necessary cold water and wing foiling gear and can be scheduled in 2–3 hour sessions. All lessons are run by our highly experienced instructor team.
No restrictions apply, and 1 parent can join on the boat as a spectator free of charge. Parents must stay on the boat for the entire lesson and will not be able to participate during the kids lessons.
UPWIND DROPS
Downwinder Drop
Get pick up near the Oceanfront Park and get a drop upwind. Make your way back down to Feather Park on your own. Available while using your own gear.
Service Details
A quick shuttle upwind will provide ample space and comfort to practice your skills while you head towards Feather Park Beach.
Upwind drop Wing Foil
Service Details
This supervised drop is a shuttle to the Howe Sound and self launch conducted by our guides from the boat.
Supervised option:
Supervision and assistance is given in conjunction with a lesson, if you are in need of assistance, our team will come help you as quickly as possible but it is important that you have the suitable skills to stay safe and manage your equipment on your own.
Unsupervised option:
No supervision is provided, you must stay in the riding area to be visible to our team. While staff may check for your position in the sound from time to time, they will not be watching adequately to notice any need for help.
Once you are certified to go out on your own, upwind drops are a great option to get more time on the water away from the congested area near the launch zone. To qualify for supervised and unsupervised drops, you must demonstrate full proficiency and independence in all key skills, including riding in all directions, particularly upwind.
All our customers are invited to use our amenities before and after the session.
EQUIPMENT
Upwind drops do not include the use of any of Squamish Watersports equipment. We do provide rentals for an additional charge. You are responsible to ensure that your gear is in adequate condition for the experience.
IMPORTANT: If your gear has a malfunction on the water, you will have the choice to either rent our equipment if it is available on the water or be packed down and wait for the next ride in.
Additionally, if you are not able to demonstrate sufficient independency on the water, for your and other’s safety, you will be packed down and sent on the next boat returning to the marina.
First-time riders in Squamish need to book a mandatory supervised upwind drop to ensure a safe and enriching introduction to the area.
You have two options for setting up:
Option 1:
- Leave your vehicle at the Oceanfront parking lot.
- Return to our location on Loggers Lane, fully suited in your wetsuit.
- Bring your wing without a bag and a fully mounted foil board, and join the shuttle.
- You will complete your downwinder and ride all the way back to Feather Park Beach, where your vehicle will be waiting for you.
Option 2:
Stop in at our Watersports Center to sign the appropriate paperwork.
- Park your vehicle at the Oceanfront parking lot
- Have your foil board mounted and your wing deflated.
- Wait for pickup, fully suited in your wetsuit, at the following location: Pick up location
- Enjoy the upwind shuttle and your solo downwinder to Feather Park.
After your session, feel free to return to our Marina for a hot shower.
WAKE FOILING LESSONS
Whether you’re an absolute beginner or a seasoned rider, wake foiling is a fun way to find excitement on the water. The best wake foiling conditions are in the early morning and late afternoons. At this time, the water is beautifully calm, flat and glassy. Ride around the Howe Sound among amazing scenery and wildlife for a memorable experience. Squamish Watersports is just a short drive from Whistler or Vancouver BC – the perfect wake foiling day trip!

Lesson Details
The listed price includes up to 2 participants. Minimum 2 hr session
2 participants or 1 participant and a spectator/spotter is required. If you are coming alone, please advise us in order to hire a spotter at an additional $20/hr charge.
Additional participants can be invited for a total of 5-6 participants, additional cost is $15/hr per additional person. A 5mm full wetsuit and booties is required to participate in this activity, this is not included in the cost and is available for rent or purchase at our shop.

Gear rental
Full Equipment Rental with Upwind Drop
Get equipped with everything you need for Winging and hop on a ride out with our Upwind drop service. Price includes a half day rental (3-4 hours based on upwind drops available)
Offer Details
Equipment rental includes all necessary gear for Winging including a wetsuit rental if needed. Rental is available for the 3-4 hour period associated with the upwind drop.
In order to qualify for this experience, you must be familiar with the necessary techniques to hold your ground on the water. Video footage of your riding must be presented to prove proficiency or be signed up by an instructor after your last lesson.
We have a variety of wing equipment available for a safe and fun day out on the water available to rent. With all types of wings and boards available in our fleet you are sure to have a great time on the water.

Independent riders only. Includes wing, board, foil, board leash, and wing leash.

For Intermediate and Advanced riders only. Must be experienced with entering and exiting the water amongst others and proficiently riding.

Kiteboarding Kit Rental Full Day
Offer Details
This package includes the full kite package of 1 kite + bar, 1 board, harness, leash, life vest and helmet. Wetsuit rentals available at an additional cost. The bar will be given to you managed and it must be set back this way upon your return. We are always available to help manage the bar for you at an additional cost.
Rental without using our upwind drop services is valid for intermediate to advanced riders only. Riders must be comfortable with entering and exiting the beach amongst many other water users as well as all other independent requirements.
Proficiency Requirements
- I am able to ride in all directions including upwind.
- I am consistently able to stay upwind.
- I am proficient in re-launching my kite.
- I am proficient in upwind body dragging and am able to retrieve my board consistently.
- I am able to complete a self rescue in deep waters.
- I am able to enter and exit the water safely.
- I am aware of all right of way rules and am comfortable riding amongst other users.
- I am familiar with the local winds, current and hazards.
- I understand that I am responsible for myself solely.
