All private bookings have a minimum duration of 3 hours, but we highly encourage 4+ hours to ensure you have a full and enriching sailing experience, as it can take time to get seated and set sail, and our instructors must ensure they’re back in time for their next lesson & tour. For those eager to delve deeper into the art of sailing, we offer extended full-day and overnight options, perfect for mastering navigation and experiencing the magic of night sailing.

About Our Sailboat: The 49' Beneteau
Our spacious 3-cabin layout provides ample room for your group to relax and enjoy the journey in style. Step aboard and discover:

- Comfortable Interiors: Below deck, you’ll find a bright and airy salon, perfect for gathering or enjoying a meal. The three private cabins offer comfortable retreats, making this sailboat ideal for longer adventures or simply providing quiet spaces for your group.
- Smooth Sailing Performance: The Beneteau 49 is celebrated for its stable and responsive handling, making for a smooth and enjoyable sailing ride even in varying conditions. Our experienced captains will ensure a comfortable journey, whether you’re actively learning or simply soaking in the scenery.

Whether you’re stepping aboard for the first time or looking to advance your sailing skills, we offer personalized, hands-on instruction and certification based on demonstrated skill, not just course attendance. Our certified instructors and examiners are qualified to teach and certify sailors in three Canadian Recreational Yachting Association (CRYA) levels.

CERTIFICATION COURSES:
🧭 Competent Crew
This course lays the groundwork for anyone new to sailing. You’ll learn how sailboats work, how to handle them safely, and how to assist in docking, anchoring, and emergency procedures. By the end of this training, you’ll be qualified to serve as a competent crew member on vessels up to 50 feet in length.

Building on the skills learned in Competent Crew, the Day Skipper course prepares you to take the helm. You’ll deepen your sailing knowledge and learn to navigate your home waters within sight of land. Successful completion certifies you to skipper a vessel in moderate weather conditions.

Advanced Course – Command Longer Coastal Voyages
Coastal Skipper is the capstone of the CRYA series, combining all previously learned skills into real-world coastal cruising scenarios. We offer in-depth instruction in all aspects of this advanced course, including passage planning, extended voyage preparation, and executing multi-day cruises. While we are not authorized to certify at this level, we can fully prepare you with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to succeed when evaluated by a certified examiner.
