Kite Lesson – Additional Information:

Enjoy personalized lessons on the water with support from our experienced boat-based instructors.

What to Bring:
A towel
• A thermos or water bottle
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses with a tether (preferably floatable)
• Warm clothing for before and after your experience (e.g. fleece or polyester)
• A dry bag, if you would like to bring your phone or other non-waterproof items

Parking:
Free street parking is available nearby. Please allow extra time during busy periods. See a parking map here.

Facilities:
Guests have access to changing rooms, lockers, washrooms, hot showers, a hot tub, and our outdoor lounge.

Hot Tub Use:
Guests are welcome to use the hot tub before or after their experience. Please shower before entering.

Personal Belongings:
Squamish Watersports is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

Wetsuit:
Wetsuits are included for Crash Course participants only.

Spectators:
Spectators are only permitted during private and semi-private lessons. If a lesson is shortened because a spectator wishes to return to shore, no lesson time will be credited.

For First-Time Students:
If this is your first kiteboarding lesson with us, please watch the Intro Course video before your lesson. It covers the theory normally taught during the first hour, allowing more time on the water.  Intro Course Video

Instructor Requests:
Instructor requests are subject to availability and must be made at the time of booking.

Schedule Flexibility:
As this is a wind-dependent sport, lesson times may shift up to 2 hours earlier or later due to weather conditions. If you have scheduling restrictions, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance.

Post-Lesson Gear Cleaning:
After returning, please clean all equipment by using the provided wash bins, rinsing thoroughly, and hanging gear to dry.

Transport Canada Safety Requirement:

Safety Equipment Location:
Please ask your guide if you have any questions about the safety equipment on board.

Tipping:
As a standard in the industry, we would like to encourage you to tip your guide as you see fit after your experience. Tipping is accepted via cash or e-transfer directly to your guide.
