Full & Part Time Wing & Kite Instructor, Summer 2026

Required Availability:
May – September/October

Whether you’re looking for a full summer commitment or a part-time schedule, we’re open to building the right fit for the right instructor.

What You’ll Do

As part of the Squamish Watersports team, your days will be active, varied, and incredibly rewarding. This is not a “stand on the beach and supervise” type of role. You’ll be in the action—supporting students, running boat-assisted sessions, and delivering world-class instruction.

  • Teach wingfoil and kiteboarding lessons for all levels
  • Run boat-assisted lessons and support students on the water
  • Adapt lessons to different skill levels and learning styles
  • Set up and pack down gear
  • Optional extras, if you are interested, include kitefoiling, wakefoiling, wakeboarding, sailing, or boat tours

We pride ourselves on safe, structured, and progression-focused coaching. Our instructors don’t just teach tricks—they build confidence, skills, and unforgettable experiences for students from around the world.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for instructors who combine technical skill with people skills. The best instructors at Squamish Watersports are calm under pressure, adaptable in changing conditions, and genuinely excited to see their students succeed.

  • Strong wingfoiling skills and confidence on the water
  • Kiteboarding experience is a strong asset
  • Confident English speaker
  • Friendly, positive attitude and great with people
  • Comfortable working outdoors in changing conditions
  • Boat licence is a must and can be completed online
  • Legal to work in Canada

Experience teaching is an asset—but not the only thing that matters. If you have strong riding skills, a solid understanding of safety systems, and a natural ability to communicate clearly and positively, we want to hear from you.

Why Teach in Squamish?

Squamish is globally recognized as one of the premier wind sports destinations in the world. Consistent thermal winds, stunning mountain backdrops, and a vibrant watersports community make it an unparalleled place to work and ride.

Working here means:

  • Teaching in steady, reliable wind conditions
  • Being part of an established, professional operation
  • Growing your coaching skills in a high-performance environment
  • Spending your summer outdoors instead of behind a desk

This is more than a seasonal job—it’s an opportunity to be immersed in a passionate, skilled, and supportive watersports community.

Perks!

We believe that when our team is supported, our students receive the best experience possible. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Set a schedule with 4 to 6 days per week
  • High-quality equipment and ongoing training
  • Work in one of the best wingfoiling spots in the world
  • Staff accommodation may be available

We invest in quality gear and structured systems so our instructors can focus on what matters: delivering exceptional lessons and having fun on the water.

A Day in the Life

Your morning might begin with checking wind forecasts and prepping gear. By midday, you’re running boat-assisted wingfoil sessions, coaching a first-time student through their first sustained glide. In the afternoon, you’re helping a returning client refine transitions or dialling in their upwind riding.

Between sessions, you’ll collaborate with other instructors, share insights, and keep operations running smoothly. Some days will be busy and high-energy. Others will be steady and skill-focused. But every day, you’ll be on the water.

Is This You — Or Someone You Know?

We’re building our Summer 2026 team now.

If you’re an experienced rider looking to turn your passion into a profession—or you know someone who would be a great fit—we’d love to connect.
